Manny is a writer, director, and producer of Punjabi descent. He has created over a dozen film and television projects through his production company Sital Cinema Productions. These projects range from documentaries to narratives, shorts to features, and even avant-garde.
His latest feature as a screenwriter, Portraits From a Fire, won “Best Motion Picture” at the Leo Awards, and is now streaming on CRAVE. And his first documentary feature, For My Father, premiered on CBC Television and is now available on CBC GEM.
Several of his independent films have played at international film festivals, most notably the Vancouver International Film Festival over a five year run.
He is a graduate from The Pacific Screenwriting Program Scripted Series Lab presented by Netflix. And has since worked in several TV writers rooms across Canada including OUR BIG PUNJABI FAMILY (Rogers/Omni) and ALLEGIANCE (CBC/NBCU).
He is a member of The Writers Guild of Canada, The Canadian Media Producers Association, The Documentary Organization of Canada, and The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.
He is represented by Echo Lake Entertainment.
